The Born of the Gods expansion returns Magic: The Gathering players to the majestic plane of Theros to experience even more of the triumphant heroes, terrifying monsters, and powerful gods that have made Theros one of the most compelling and popular Magic settings of all time. You can make the most of the enthusiasm for this new set by hosting the next three quests in the Hero’s Path, an unprecedented block-long Magic entertainment experience where players participate in challenges that include puzzles, battles, and rewards—all of which happen in your store!

PRE-RELEASE (February 1-2, 2014 |WPN Core and Advanced)

Your players continue their journey on the Hero’s Path at the Born of the Gods Pre-release!

The Prerelease is Quest 4 on the Hero’s Path and the first chance for players to crack open booster packs and enjoy playing with all of the new cards in Born of the Gods. At the Prerelease, players will follow their destiny and choose a heroic path that corresponds to one of the five colors of mana.

Setup for the event is easy, each player receives a Prerelease Pack for his or her chosen path that has everything he or she needs to build a sealed deck. Born of the Gods Prerelease Packs reward players with a foil promo card they can use in their sealed deck at the Prerelease and a Hero Card for when they face the next Challenge Deck at Game Day!

Fill your store with Magic players for a whole weekend of fun to kick off the Born of the Gods release!

Sign up for the February 7, 2014 Friday Night Magic and you’ll be set up for Launch Weekend, Quest 5 on the Hero’s Path! Your store becomes Theros for a weekend filled with Magic events that reward your players with exclusive foil promo card prizes and offer a Hero’s Path activity where they can earn an additional Hero Card.

Quest 6 on the Hero’s Path is Game Day, a Standard tournament with full-art promo card prizes for the Top 8 and a unique Champion playmat. Born of the Gods Game Day also features a brand new self running Challenge Deck that lets your players test their skill (and use Hero Cards they’ve collected) against a horde of minotaurs.
